The General Union of Charitable Societies praised the role of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein and his firm positions in defending Palestinian rights during his speech at the extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit and in his meetings with a number of heads of state.
In a statement today, the union stressed that His Majesty's speech expressed Jordan's clear position in rejecting any solutions that do not guarantee the rights of Palestinians, including attempts at displacement or relinquishing their legitimate rights, stressing Jordan's support for the two-state solution as the only solution to ensure peace and stability in the region.
The union also pointed out the importance of His Majesty's call to the international community to take effective action to stop the violations against civilians in Palestine, especially in Gaza, and to support Jordan's efforts to mobilize international support to protect the rights of Palestinians, stressing that Jordan, under the leadership of the Hashemites, represents a voice for justice and defending the rights of the Palestinian people in international forums.
The union expressed its appreciation for His Majesty's directives, which always focus on Jordan's humanitarian role, stressing that the union will continue its role in supporting relief efforts and providing humanitarian aid to enhance Palestinian steadfastness in light of these difficult circumstances.
