The project aims to self-employ women, which comes within the economic empowerment program adopted by the association to contribute to improving life for families by enhancing productivity for women in poor and limited-income families. The association has worked to design a set of activities to achieve this goal and raise awareness about the importance of small and productive projects. For income and training in vocational and technical skills.
Project activities:
1. A training course on the manufacture and marketing of the princely fringe, the royal fringe, and the youth fringe of the desert. Manufacture of heritage pieces such as bags, medals, etc., as it is a traditional Jordanian costume that has been passed down from the mountains and there is a demand for it.
2. A training course on food manufacturing and marketing of grape derivatives / (grape molasses, jam, grape vinegar, raisins, and khabisa) due to the city of Salt being famous for growing grape trees in abundance, and grapes are considered one of the most famous crops found in the Zei region and its surrounding areas.
3. Training course on mosaic art and its marketing / (training on various designs using stones, beads, metals, shells, glass, ceramic tiles, and mosaic drawings to produce artistic pieces that express heritage
4. Organizing an exhibition in the Gilead tourist area (Gilead Festival for Heritage and Home Products) / to help women who have undergone training to market their products in the Gilead tourist area and introduce them. The management of the Basmat Al-Khair Association, in cooperation with the institutions and bodies operating in the Zi district, will also organize this exhibition and advertise it by printing advertising materials and brochures, as the Gilead region is considered a tourist attraction par excellence.
