In the Al-Mahatta area of Amman/Jordan, the Islamic Funeral House project and the adjacent Al-Khair Mosque were brought into service in 1996. The project’s goal is to offer services for handling the remains according to Islamic teachings, including washing, transporting, and burial. The Association for the Care of Islamic Cemeteries Affairs is currently in charge of its administration.
