The head of the Union of Charitable Societies in Jerash Governorate, Zaid Al-Zaboun, emphasized the importance of strengthening humanitarian, charitable, and volunteer work as a fundamental pillar in serving the community and promoting the values of solidarity and cooperation among the nation's citizens.

He added to Al-Rai newspaper that the Union worked during the holy month of Ramadan to enhance its presence and humanitarian role in serving the community by implementing a range of charitable and volunteer initiatives and activities targeting the most vulnerable groups. These efforts included organizing Ramadan iftar meals for needy families and travelers, as well as distributing clothing to the needy and orphans, thus contributing to bringing joy to their hearts and alleviating their financial burdens during the holy month.

He explained that these initiatives were implemented in partnership and cooperation with a number of charitable societies in the governorate, within the framework of strengthening integrated work among volunteer and humanitarian organizations and consolidating the values of solidarity and mutual support that characterize Jordanian society, especially during Ramadan, which is an occasion to promote the spirit of giving and helping others.

He stated that in the course of public service, leading figures emerge who have left a clear mark on society through their sincere efforts and reformist vision, contributing to the development process and solidifying a culture of giving. Among these figures is the Minister of Social Development, Wafaa Bani Mustafa, who has presented a distinguished national model of responsible leadership and public service based on integrity, transparency, and a spirit of public service. This is in addition to the efforts of the Secretary-General of the Registry of Charitable Societies, Nasser Al-Shuraideh, and the President of the General Union of Charitable Societies, Amer Al-Khawaldeh, in supporting social work and strengthening the role of voluntary institutions in serving the community.

He noted that Minister Bani Mustafa has succeeded in enhancing the Ministry's role and active presence in caring for the most vulnerable groups and working to solidify the position of humanitarian and social work as one of the fundamental pillars for building a cohesive society based on social justice, solidarity, and compassion among its members. This is evident through programs and initiatives aimed at empowering needy families and strengthening social protection, in addition to supporting voluntary work and charitable institutions, which constitute an important partner in achieving sustainable development.

He explained that these efforts stem from a vision that believes human beings are the focus and goal of development, as their economic and social empowerment is fundamental to building a society capable of facing challenges and achieving stability and development. From this perspective, the Ministry has worked to develop the social work system and strengthen partnerships with official and non-governmental entities, contributing to expanding the scope of social services and ensuring their fair and efficient delivery to those who deserve them.

The Minister is also known for her approach based on integrity and transparency in public administration. For her, integrity is a practical principle reflected in decisions and policies that strive to achieve justice and promote the principles of good governance in institutional work, thus strengthening trust between government institutions and society.

Within the framework of promoting participatory work, the Ministry has given considerable attention to enhancing cooperation with civil society organizations and charitable associations, believing that social work is a shared responsibility in which official and non-governmental efforts are integrated to serve the most vulnerable groups. This approach has contributed to broadening the horizons of cooperation between the Ministry and the voluntary sector, positively impacting the level of services provided to citizens and strengthening the values of solidarity and mutual support in Jordanian society.

Also noteworthy in this context is the important role played by Nasser Al-Shuraideh, Secretary-General of the Registry of Charitable Societies, in organizing the work of charitable societies and developing their performance in a way that enhances transparency and governance in charitable work. This is in addition to the efforts of Amer Al-Khawaldeh, President of the General Union of Charitable Societies, in unifying volunteer efforts and supporting humanitarian and social initiatives that serve vulnerable groups throughout the Kingdom.

Minister Wafaa Bani Mustafa's role was not limited to the administrative and institutional aspects. She was also distinguished by her field presence and continuous communication with citizens, where she is keen to follow up on their needs, listen to their concerns, and work to address them. This clearly embodies the spirit of leadership that is close to the community and believes that true responsibility begins in the field.

He concluded by saying that the sincere efforts of these individuals in supporting the social development process and promoting the values of justice and solidarity in Jordanian society deserve appreciation. They represent a national model of a responsible official who combines competence, integrity, and dedication to serving the nation.

Humanitarian and voluntary work remains a shared responsibility between state institutions and society. It is an approach that reflects the authenticity of Jordanian society and its deeply rooted values of cooperation and solidarity, with continued hope to strengthen the social work system in a way that serves the nation and the citizen and promotes the building of a cohesive society governed by justice and humanity.
