Social development and the General Union of Charitable Societies promote integration and development of charitable work.

The head of the General Union of Charitable Societies, Amer Khawaldeh, stated that the integration of roles between the Ministry of Social Development and civil society organizations reflects a positive image of social work in Jordan and enhances the ability of the charitable and voluntary sector to effectively respond to community needs, embodying the values of solidarity and mutual support.

He emphasized that the partnership with the Ministry represents an effective model of integrated work between the public and private sectors, based on joint planning, continuous coordination, and information exchange to serve target groups and enhance the efficiency of services provided.

He explained that there are regular meetings between the Ministry and the Union to unify efforts, define priorities, and ensure the integration of roles among various entities. This contributes to the development of social work and strengthens the impact of development initiatives at the governorate level, based on the Ministry's commitment to supporting the productive projects of associations, which will generate sustainable financial returns and provide job opportunities for members of local communities.

He affirmed that the Union supports every step that enhances governance and transparency in charitable work, noting the importance of continued field coordination and data exchange to ensure the desired impact is achieved and the social safety net is expanded.

In a statement issued Sunday, the Federation commended the Ministry's institutional approach, which has contributed to strengthening trust between official and non-governmental entities in the Kingdom and establishing the principle of equal opportunities for all targeted parties. This, in turn, contributes to the advancement of the charitable sector and the development of its performance.

The Federation noted that the ongoing coordination between the Ministry and charitable federations and associations reflects a clear commitment to unifying efforts and preventing duplication in the provision of support. This ensures social justice and enhances the efficient use of available resources, especially in light of current economic challenges and the increasing needs of many families.

Al-Khawaldeh praised the Ministry and the General Registry of Associations for their commitment to listening to the demands of federations and associations and for their continuous consultations through meetings held in the governorates. These meetings facilitate the exchange of ideas, the development of work mechanisms, and discussions on amendments to the draft Associations Law. He also highlighted the importance of using the "Takammul" platform to promote digital transformation in charitable work and improve the institutional performance of associations, ultimately serving sustainable social development.

The Federation affirmed its commitment to ongoing communication with the Ministry, which provides it with support and assistance as the primary umbrella organization for federations and associations. This collaboration aims to direct support to targeted groups, strengthen the mission of charitable, voluntary, and humanitarian work, and solidify the values of social solidarity.

According to the statement, the Federation indicated that the next phase requires deepening this partnership and working as a unified team to address economic and social challenges, ensuring the sustainability of charitable work and ultimately leading to a more cohesive and just society.
