The General Union of Charitable Societies commended the historic speech delivered by His Majesty King Abdullah II before the European Parliament in Strasbourg, considering it a humanitarian and political reference that reflects Jordan's national principles and moral stance in defending the nation's causes.
In a statement issued by the Union on Tuesday, Nasser Shraideh, Chairman of the Union's Interim Administrative Board, said that His Majesty the King expressed the conscience of all Jordanians and free people around the world in his speech, reaffirming Jordan's unwavering position on the Palestinian cause, its rejection of all forms of occupation and aggression, and its call for respect for international law and human rights.
He added that His Majesty's remarks on the suffering of the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, constituted a global humanitarian appeal holding the international community morally responsible for the suffering of innocent children, women, and civilians. He emphasized that this royal message stems from Hashemite principles that place human dignity above all considerations.
Al-Shuraidah affirmed that the union stands behind the wise Hashemite leadership, praising the royal speech, which conveyed to the world Jordan's message of moderation, justice, coexistence, and the rejection of double standards.
