Today, the Al-Amal Center for Special Education, affiliated with the Salt Islamic Charitable Society, organized a dialogue session on developments in the situation in Gaza and Palestine and a solidarity stand in support of them.
The head of the General Union of Charitable Societies, Dr. Atef Odaibat, said that Jordan’s position is firm in defending our people in Palestine and the Gaza Strip, and that His Majesty King Abdullah II has adopted the Palestinian cause in all international forums and has sought since the beginning of the war to stop the brutal aggression against Gaza and ensure the delivery of humanitarian and medical aid to those recovering under Under his supervision and with the support of Prince Hussein bin Abdullah, Crown Prince, to sustain the provision of health care to the sick and injured.
Odaibat praised His Majesty's efforts and great interest in contacting the director of the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza to check on the conditions of the medical and nursing staff in the hospital.
He stated that since he assumed the presidency of the Union, changes have been made that contributed to changing the wheel of development, as decisions were made regarding the management of Al Amal Centers for Special Education in the governorates through charitable societies, as they were previously managed through the General Union, in order to serve groups with moderate and simple disabilities and work to train and teach them how to do so. A number of skills that contribute to enhancing their role in society, appreciating the efforts and role of the Salt Islamic Charitable Society.
In turn, the head of the Salt Islamic Charitable Society, Engineer Muhammad Khair Al-Kilani, affirmed that Jordan will remain the support, supporter, and closest supporter of the Palestinian brothers, indicating that the Jordanian people of all categories stand behind the wise Hashemite leadership in its Arab positions, which always call for the necessity of reaching a just solution to the Palestinian issue in a way that guarantees the establishment of An independent and sovereign Palestinian state.
Al-Kilani stated that since the founding of the association, it has implemented many services, activities, and programs for the local community in the region in cooperation and coordination, as kindergartens and schools were established for people with disabilities, stressing that the association aspires to expand in the future all types of services for people with disabilities specialized in treatment, in addition to a dispensary that serves the members of the local community. .
For his part, the Director General of the Salt Islamic Charitable Society, Muhammad Al-Shamli, said that Jordan and Palestine are one body, and the Jordanian role in supporting the Palestinian cause is an integral part of this issue, and the Jordanian and Palestinian people are one people and we will always remain supportive of our brothers in Palestine and Gaza by all available ways and means. Pointing out that the Crown Prince is a role model for Jordanian and Arab youth, we see him personally supervising the preparation of humanitarian aid planes that were able to break the brutal siege imposed on our brothers in the Gaza Strip.
The meeting, whose activities were moderated by Arwa Al-Abadi, included national, Palestinian, and religious segments that expressed the suffering of children and families in the Gaza Strip and Palestine and their steadfastness to protect their land, under the supervision of teachers Samah Zawatia, Amna Al-Hawamdeh, and Aisha Al-Abadi, and a brief presentation to analyze job performance from the perspective of occupational therapy and treatment by teacher Ruqaya Al-Hunaiti.
