Economic empowerment project for vulnerable groups in Mafraq


The project targets the economic empowerment of vulnerable groups in the Mafraq Governorate, including people with mental and physical disabilities, women, and the disadvantaged, by providing them with vocational education and training to help them generate income to support themselves and their families. The project also aims to improve the services of the Al-Amal Center for Special Education / Al-Mafraq by creating a safe environment for children and developing Al-Amal Center facilities for beneficiaries to use in training, social interaction, and integration into the local community.
Project activities:
1.     Maintenance of the Al-Amal Center for Special Education/Al-Mafraq and shaping the image of the center, and a garden for the children of the center.
2.    Training courses for women, the disabled, and young people of both genders, 
 
•     Training topics offered:
1. Hair styling for women
2. Training women on working from home and handicrafts
3. Conversation course in English, identifying professional traits, and self-marketing (both genders)
4. Drawing and coloring for children (age: 12–16 years) and children with disabilities
5. Plumbing training for young people (both genders)
6. Constructing the external wall, building the stadium, and various maintenance works at Al-Amal Center
7. Seminars on the rights of persons with disabilities, focusing on children and practical aspects
8. Workshop on Internet addiction and risk for young people
9. Seminar on school dropouts for children
