The administrative board of the General Union of Charitable Societies held a meeting today, Tuesday, at the Union's headquarters, chaired by its president, Amer Khawaldeh, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and develop the work of the General Union and its affiliated charitable societies in the governorates.
During the meeting, which was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Social Development, Secretary-General of the Societies Registry Nasser Shraideh, Director-General of the Societies Registry Ziad Khasawneh, Director of Societies Hanadi Manaseer, and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Societies Registry Hafez Baqour, Khawaldeh emphasized the importance of unifying efforts between the General Union and the Ministry of Social Development. He stated that this would contribute to raising the efficiency of charitable work and strengthening its developmental role in serving the community. He stressed the need to support the federations in the governorates and empower them to perform their duties optimally.
He indicated that the next phase requires expanding the scope of partnerships with various official bodies and working to develop programs and initiatives that meet the needs of local communities.
For his part, Shraideh pointed to the importance of developing the institutional work mechanisms of charitable societies and enhancing governance and transparency, which will positively impact the quality of services provided to beneficiaries. He affirmed the Ministry's readiness to provide the necessary technical and administrative support.
The attendees stressed the importance of holding regular, expanded meetings that include various stakeholders, with the aim of coordinating efforts, exchanging experiences, and discussing the challenges facing the charitable sector, in order to reach practical and sustainable solutions.
