The General Union of Charitable Societies commended the historic speech delivered by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein before the European Parliament in Strasbourg, praising his wisdom in addressing global political and humanitarian issues in international forums and before international public opinion.

The Chairman of the Union's Administrative Board, Amer Al-Khawaldeh, noted that His Majesty's speech demonstrated that Jordan continues to carry the legacy of divine messages, not only through its geographical and historical location, but also through its political and humanitarian stances in defending spiritual values and just peace.

He explained that His Majesty the King, in his speech, expressed the conscience of all Jordanians and free people around the world, reaffirming Jordan's steadfast position on the Palestinian cause, its rejection of all forms of occupation and aggression, and its call for respect for international law and human rights.

He added that His Majesty's remarks on the suffering of the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, constituted a global humanitarian appeal holding the international community morally responsible for the suffering of innocent children, women, and civilians. He emphasized that this royal message stems from the Hashemite principles that place human dignity above all other considerations.

Al-Khawaldeh emphasized that the speech came at a critical moment, as the world witnesses escalating aggression and unprecedented human suffering. He explained that His Majesty the King has placed the international community before its moral and humanitarian responsibilities through a clear and courageous stance in confronting violence and extremism, and in defending human dignity and the right of peoples to life and freedom.
